This past October I had the distinct opportunity to attend the Executive Integral Leadership program at the University of Notre Dame. It was a powerful experience & education looking at real and aspirational values as they correlate with organizational value prioritization mechanics. The context for the training was powerful as we examined private sector companies and how they balanced and prioritized customer intimacy, operational effectiveness and innovation.

Hope, Well-Being and Engagement: Leading a School Community Based on Values and Empathy - November 5, 2016
In this presentation, Dr. Michael Roe discussed the importance of building a school community examining the latest research conducted around employee and student engagement. Over the past three years, Roe has partnered with Harvard University’s MCC Initiative along with the work his school/district is conducting with the Gallup Corporation. The role of empathy was discussed as well as an examination of two critical crossroads that face educational leaders and the role that core values play in addressing the "moral imperative."
